Today: 126 lbs
I have come so far in the past 2 months emotionally. I am finally ready to restart this journey again, but I have to try something new. I have been told to try Periactin numerous times by you lovely ladies but.....there were many reasons why I looked into it, but never looked into it enough to purchase. Since I had previously gained weight all naturally, I figured why not just do that again. I also did not want to take medicine if I did not have to, lastly the biggest reason why I never bought it is because I could not find a vendor who sold it any where online. And I certainly could not find it in stores. Then 2 weeks ago I got an inbox by a lovely viewer and she left a link on where I could purchase Ciplactin. It was perfect timing, she sent the link after I felt like I had tried it all to at least get back to a steady 130 lbs, yet the scale hadn't budged in weeks. So I purchased almost right away after doing some research first of course.
What is Ciplactin (Cyproheptadine) aka Periactin and Romeron????
From what I have read it is an anti-allergy medicine/ antihistamine!!!! It provides relief of allergy symptoms, itching, hives, runny nose, and sneezing amongst other things. But it can also be used for hormone disorders and most importantly to GAIN WEIGHT!!!!! Its side effects are drowsiness, upset stomach, stomach pain, increased appetite, and WEIGHT GAIN :) I am going to give this a shot. I am worried about being even more tired then I am already or having an upset stomach. The only reason I could find to stop immediately is having an upset stomach, that I would not beable to put up with.

TODAY (July 26, 2011), MY FIRST IMPRESSION: 126lbs
I am tired already :( I do not know if it all just mentally knowing the fact that I am taking this product and what it is supposed to do, or if its really already working. But I have ate more today then I have in 2-3 months. As I sit here and type I am snacking on crackers, I can not tell the last time I have had the appetite to snack. I am sooo excited to try this and see what it does for me. I will be taking one tablet a day every night. I will also just be updating my blog 1-3 times a week, rather then everyday.
I absolutely love you ladies, I have a couple of questions for those of you who have tried one of these pills already:
1. How many tablets did you take a day?
2. What time of day do you take them, and do you take them with meals or between meals?
3. What side effects did you experience?
4. How long did it take for you to see noticeable changes either on your body or on the scale?
5. Whats the most weight that you gained, and how fast did it happen?
6. Any bad side effects?
7. Any reccomendations?
One tablet per day is all you need but some ppl take two.
ReplyDeleteTake preferably at night,(they make you very sleepy) no need to take with/between meals.
Most side effects i experienced were sleepiness, excessive hunger, feeling of being thirsty, WEIGHT GAIN, crankiness.
I saw changes in my weight after two weeks believe it or not.
I jumped from 118lbs to 145-147lbs in the space of 3-4weekes.
My bad side effects I'd say was the crankiness..i was hella cranky and sometimes had a bit of anxiety.
I recommend that you try them :) you won't be disappointed since it's weight you want to gain.
The only gripe I have with these pills are that as soon as you stop taking them the weight you gained eventually you lose most of it and I know that was due to the fact that the big appetite from the pills have been lost because you are no longer taking them so you are eating less.
I also hated that along with the weight in good places (hips butt breast legs) i was gaining weight on my tummy and for me that's not cute, but a friend of mine was taking them too and she only gained weight in her feminine areas (breast hips butt legs) not her tummy so i guess it's all to do with the individual and where their body stores fat.
P.S...Be prepared to buy new clothes :)

DeleteI have been taking periactins on and off for years.prescribed by my doctor they do wonders and I eat like a dog.I have 4 kids and I'm still at 119.Im not comfortable at times being so small so I start taking them when needed and I have my curves back in no time.My desired weight is around 135.I recommend this med to anyone who like myself can't eat for days at a time because I have no appetite.God knows it makes me sleepy but I eat good and it shows!!!
DeleteI forgot to mention also that after taking periactin for a long period (4-6 months) it starts to lose it's effects on the appetite so it's best to stop taking it for about a month or so to kinda rid your system of them after you have reached your desired weight and then you can start back on them again.

I used to take peritol. I'm not quite sure if its the same thing as peiactin, but it does the same thing. It did increase my appetite. I did not like however the fact that it made me so tired and sleepy, and very CRANKY. I usually take it in the night before dinner.

Aug.31 my doc prescribed me periactin I was taking it on in off because of doubt,but then I started taking it cause i needdd help badly w. My weight. Soooo went back to the doc. In surprisingly gained 10lbs. Aug.31 I was 89lbs. Now im on my second prescribed dose so by dec. I want to gain 110lbs. And i might do 2 a day. DeleteYes the pills WORK although I take cyproheptadine which is the generic for periactin. I am tall and has always bn thin. Cigarettes,no appetite, stress has added to that. Here is some advice that helps results. Important info for those who want to gain, its best to take pills on empty stomach or about 20min before a meal. That way chemicals in med work even more as it attaches to food u eat and makes u kp eating. Secondly, water is a major part that helps with gain. Drink lots of water. It carries all the fat,nutrients, proteins, to the proper areas of the body. U could eat a huge meal, but if your body isnt hydrated enuff, the weight is not distributed right. Very important because the body is about 75%water. Fyi I gained 10 lbs in nearly two weeks. I use a huge jug bought at dollar general and filled it with water. It usually last all day. If u dread water and usually drink sodas and juice...this is an easy way. Last note is I tried pill twice....i got less results when I didnt drink lots of water. (not too much water because that is dangerous, but as females can fail to drink enuff.

Im currently on the periactin taking 1 a day only at night because it makes me veryyyyy tired and feeling drained. Definitely eating more im not sure if the bigger appetite is all in my head since I know im taking them or if its really working but hopefully it works for me ! I have only been on this medicine for 3 days and the only side effects for me is the increased appetite and fatigue. I was ordered to take 2 tablets 4 times a day and being I didn't have insurance I paid $112.00 My stomach looks a Lil bloated but I still exercise....I have gained 2lbs since starting the medication..I was 105 now I'm I'm 107.5 so the pull does work....plus I don't have those migraines anymore

Hi there! New to this as well. Im currently 5' and i weight about 89 pounds and trying to put on weight has been the biggest challenged ive faced. Its been pretty difficult. And the main problem would be my loss of appetite and not able to eat that much. ReplyDeleteHello I'm new here... I just started ciplactin two days ago. My current weight is 121lbs and I have used this before and had a great experience with gaining weight. After I stopped taking them I slowly lost the weight because I stopped working out and drinking ensure plus to help maintain. Anyways I'm back to the challenge again and hopefully I can get to 145-150lbs by August maybe. I will keep updating and good luck to everyone!

DeleteI Bought 90 pills for $32 from All day chemist. I weighted 92.6 poundso and for 3 months I stopped at 110. They really do work the only bad thing that I noticed was my attitude got really bad, other than that I gained weight in my tights, chest and butt. also my stomach but as soon as I stopped taking it it went away.
